Setting up

Stand it level on its adjustable feet with room around it for air, fill the tank, plug in and press start. Run the self-clean cycle before first use and discard the first batch of ice.

Ice before the doors open.

A bar's worth of cube ice from a machine that slides under the counter, fills from a tank, and has the first batch ready in ten minutes.

Most ice machines that make this much need a plumber. This one fills from a removable tank, plugs in, and stands where you put it: on the floor of a back room, on a bench at an event, out the back of a bar. It makes up to 54 kg over a day and keeps 15 kg in a bin with a viewing window so you can see how you are going.

The panel on the front does three things. It picks thin cubes for coffee and iced tea or thick ones for spirits, it sets a start time up to 48 hours ahead so the bin is full before service, and it runs a one-touch self-clean cycle. It runs at under 50 dB.

What this usually leaves the warehouse with.

Close view of a scoop lifting clear cubes from the bin

Under the bar or on its own.

At 445 mm wide and 795 mm tall on its adjustable feet, it stands free anywhere with a power point. The lid has a viewing window so you can see the ice level without opening it, and a stainless steel scoop comes with it.

  • 445 × 405 × 795 mm on its feet
  • Adjustable feet for uneven floors
  • Stainless scoop included

Thin for coffee, thick for whisky.

The same machine makes two cubes. Thin ones in about nine minutes chill an iced latte fast. Thick ones in about fourteen minutes sit in a glass of spirits and last. Set the thickness on the panel and the next cycle changes; there is nothing to swap inside.

  • Two cube thicknesses from the panel
  • Ice-full light when the bin is full
  • Bin holds 15 kg

Full before you arrive.

The 48 hour timer means it can start making ice at four in the morning for an eleven o'clock opening, or the night before an event. The self-clean cycle runs from one button, and the tank lifts out to be rinsed and refilled at the sink rather than carrying jugs to the machine.

  • Start time set up to 48 hours ahead
  • One-touch self-clean cycle
  • Removable water tank, no plumbing

How much ice.

Rated for room temperatures from 10 to 38 °C. A hot back room slows any ice machine; keep the vents clear.

Questions we get asked

Does it need to be plumbed in?

No. It fills from a removable tank that lifts out and refills at the sink. There is no water inlet to connect, which is why it can go anywhere with a power point.

How much ice will it actually make in a shift?

Up to 54 kg over 24 hours, so roughly 2 kg an hour, and the bin holds 15 kg. For a bar doing a few hundred drinks a night, start it on the timer a few hours before opening so the bin is full when the rush starts.

Can it go under a counter?

It is 795 mm tall on its feet, 445 mm wide and 405 mm deep, so it fits under most benches on paper. It needs air around it to shed heat, so leave clearance on the vented sides and do not box it in.

How loud is it?

Under 50 dB, which is quiet for a machine with a compressor. You hear the cubes drop into the bin at the end of each cycle.

How do I keep it clean?

Run the one-touch self-clean cycle regularly. Rinse the tank when you refill it, wipe the bin out with a mild detergent, and empty the bin before a long shutdown so nothing sits in there.
