A raised cot for large dogs: 1220 × 910 mm of textilene mesh pulled tight over a steel tube frame, sitting 230 mm clear of the floor. Air moves through the mesh from underneath, and fur and grit sit on the surface instead of working into a cushion. The mesh is waterproof and oil resistant, so a wipe or a hose usually does it, and it is machine washable. Two centre bars spread the load, which is rated to 60 kg. Ten minutes to assemble, no tools.
Free delivery to most of NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and WA; postcode confirmed at checkout. Return within 30 days in the original packaging for a full refund.
About ten minutes and no tools. The frame pushes together by hand and the mesh tensions onto it. Instructions are in the carton.
Twelve hundred millimetres of taut mesh, 230 mm off the ground, on a steel frame rated to sixty kilos.
The sleeping surface is 1220 × 910 mm of textilene mesh, pulled tight over a steel tube frame and sitting 230 mm clear of the floor. Air moves through it from underneath, which is why these suit thick-coated dogs and a hot February. It also means fur, grass seed and dust sit on top to be shaken off, rather than working their way into the middle of a cushion where they stay.
Two bars run across the centre under the mesh, so the middle does not dip when a heavy dog flops down. The frame is rated to 60 kg: one labrador or golden retriever, or two or three medium dogs sharing. The whole thing weighs 4 kg, so it moves from the laundry to the back verandah in one hand.
What this usually leaves the warehouse with.

Textilene is a woven mesh with a smooth coated surface, so fur does not bed into it and dirt does not grind in. It is waterproof and oil resistant, which covers most of what a dog brings home. Shake it out, wipe it, or hose it and stand it on edge to drain. When it needs more than that, the mesh is machine washable.

Thickened steel tube around the outside, and two support bars running under the centre of the mesh. That is what stops the middle sagging under a heavy dog and what lets the frame carry 60 kg. It is enough for one large dog stretched right out, or two to three medium dogs sharing, provided the total stays under the rating.

At 4 kg it carries easily, and it goes together in about ten minutes with no tools, so taking it camping or to the holiday house is not a chore. The 230 mm of clearance keeps the dog off a cold, damp or dusty floor, whether that floor is a laundry, a shed slab or the ground under an awning. It stands up to light wind and rain.
The rating is the total on the bed, not per dog. Two mediums at 30 kg each is the ceiling.
This is the XL, in grey and black, listed without the washable pillow. The mesh itself is the sleeping surface.

Assembles by hand in about ten minutes. No tools needed.
The XL gives 1220 × 910 mm to lie on, which is enough for a large dog to stretch out completely, or for two to three medium dogs together. The frame is rated to 60 kg in total, so keep the combined weight under that rather than the weight of any one dog.
It handles light wind and rain, and the mesh is waterproof and oil resistant, so a wet night will not ruin it. Bring it under cover in real weather and out of long spells of direct sun and it will last considerably longer.
Not this one. It is the version listed without a pillow, so the mesh is the sleeping surface. That is what most people want in summer. In winter, a folded blanket laid over the top works well and still lets the air move underneath.
About ten minutes and no tools. The frame pushes together by hand and the mesh tensions onto it, which takes a bit of effort on the last corner because it is meant to end up tight. Instructions are in the carton.
Shake it out, or hose it and stand it on edge to drain. The coated mesh does not hold fur, so most of it comes away easily. If it needs more, the mesh is machine washable. Let it dry fully before the dog is back on it.
