Setting up
It comes assembled. Pick a live, healthy horizontal branch or a solid beam, run the two straps over it, clip the ropes on and set the rope length so the platform hangs at the height you want. The PE ropes are 1800 mm and adjust, and the straps are 1000 mm. Check the knots and the straps at the start of every season.

The steel frame is bent round at the corners rather than squared off, and the 900D Oxford fabric is pulled over it so the edge you sit against is soft and rolled. It is the difference between a platform children will lie on and one they get off after five minutes. The pipe is 32 mm across with a 1.2 mm wall, galvanised so it does not rust in the weather.

Hangs from a branch or a beam.
Two tree straps of 1000 mm go over the branch, and the four PE ropes are 1800 mm and adjust for length, so you can hang it high off a big gum or low off a verandah beam for a toddler. It also goes on a swing set frame or an indoor ceiling hook if you have the height. It comes out of the box ready; there is nothing to assemble.

How much weight will it take?
The manufacturer rates the swing at 317 kg, which is why it suits adults as well as children. The branch or beam you hang it from has its own limit though, and that is usually the thing to think about. Pick a live, healthy horizontal branch of good thickness.
What can I hang it from?
A tree branch, a swing set frame, a verandah beam or an indoor ceiling fixing. Two 1000 mm straps go over the branch and the four PE ropes clip to them. The ropes are 1800 mm and adjust, so you can set the platform high for older children or low for little ones.
Will it fade or rust outside?
The frame is galvanised steel pipe, which resists rust, and the PE ropes are made to stand up to sun. The seat is 900D Oxford fabric, which is a hard-wearing weave. Like anything left out all year, it will last longer if you bring it in over a wet winter.
Can more than one person use it at once?
