Setting up
Stand the frame on a shelf or hang it on a wall, connect the power, join it to your home WiFi and pair it in the Uhale app. Anyone you invite in the app can then send photos to it from their own phone. No SD card is needed to start; the frame holds 32 GB on its own.

Each frame is a 10.1 inch IPS touchscreen running at 1280 × 800, held in a black and white ABS case that either stands on a shelf or hangs on a wall. Photos arrive over WiFi through the Uhale app, so the people sending them do not need to be in the same house, the same state or the same country. Tap the screen to move through them, pause a slideshow or delete one.
There are 32 GB of storage built in, enough to keep a long run of photos on the frame itself, and an SD card slot that reads cards up to 128 GB if you want more. Short video clips of up to 15 seconds play too.

The 10.1 inch panel is an IPS display, so the picture holds its colour when you walk past it at an angle rather than washing out. The touch interface is the whole control set: swipe to the next photo, hold to delete, tap to stop a slideshow on the one you want to look at. There are no menus to learn.

Photos arrive on their own.
Connect the frame to your WiFi once and pair it in the Uhale app. From then on, anybody you have invited can send a photo from their phone and it lands on the frame. Questions we get asked
How do photos get onto it?
Over your home WiFi, through the Uhale app. You pair the frame once, then invite the people you want to send photos. They pick a photo on their phone and send it, and it appears on the frame. You can also load photos from an SD card if you would rather not use the app.
Does the person receiving it need to do anything?
Only connect it to their WiFi the first time. After that it runs on its own, and the photos you send arrive without them needing to press anything. Tapping the screen lets them pause on a photo or move through the album by hand.
Will it play video?
It plays clips of up to 15 seconds. Longer videos will not run. Photos are the main job; the short clips are a nice extra for a birthday message or a few seconds of a grandchild walking.
Can it hang on a wall?
Yes. It is made to sit on a shelf or table or to hang on a wall, and the picture rotates automatically between portrait and landscape to suit the photo. Each frame measures 260 × 180 × 24 mm and weighs very little.
Does the screen stay on all night?
Not unless you want it to. In the Uhale app you can set the screen to switch off at a time you choose and come back on in the morning, which keeps a bedroom dark and drops the draw to 0.37 W.
